scans and uploads
My PDF won't upload. Resume Aura accepts PDF and DOCX files. If your file is a password-protected PDF, a scanned image (no text layer), or larger than about 10 MB, the upload will fail. Try exporting your resume from Word or Google Docs as a fresh PDF and upload that.
My scan returned an empty result or an error. This is almost always a network hiccup or a file the text extractor couldn't read. Check your connection, then try again. If it still fails, paste the resume text directly into the app instead of uploading a file — that path skips extraction entirely.
My score looks wrong. The Resume Aura score is a heuristic generated by automated analysis and can vary run-to-run. If you think something is genuinely off (e.g. the app flagged a section that clearly exists in your resume), email us a screenshot of the issue list and we'll investigate.
Pro subscription
How do I subscribe? Open Resume Aura, tap any Pro feature, and choose monthly ($6.99) or yearly ($39.99). Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store.
How do I cancel? On your iPhone, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, tap Resume Aura, and choose Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Pro access until then.
I paid but Pro features are still locked. Open Resume Aura, go to Settings inside the app, and tap Restore Purchases. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to subscribe, then restart the app. If you're still stuck, email us with your Apple ID region and approximate purchase date and we'll sort it out.
I want a refund. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Resume Aura purchase, and request a refund. Apple makes the final call.
rewrites and chat edits
The rewrite doesn't match what I asked for. Rewrite output is generated by a large language model and can miss the mark, especially on short or ambiguous prompts. Try asking again with a more specific instruction (e.g. "make this bullet shorter and start with a verb"). You can always revert — every version is stored locally and visible from the version history screen.
I lost edits after rewriting. Open the resume's version history and restore the previous version. Nothing is overwritten silently.
exporting and sharing
Export to PDF or DOCX failed. Check your connection and try again — export routes through our API. If it keeps failing, let us know which template and which format you picked so we can reproduce it.
My shared score card looks wrong on Instagram / Twitter / iMessage. The card is a static image rendered on your device. If a platform is cropping it oddly, let us know which one and send a screenshot.
account and data
There's no account system. Resume Aura doesn't require a login. Your resumes, scores, and version history live locally on your iPhone.
How do I delete my data? Open Resume Aura, go to Settings, and tap Delete all data. Deleting the app from your iPhone also removes all on-device data. Because we don't retain submissions server-side after analysis, there is no separate account to delete.

bugs and feature requests
Found a bug? Email [email protected] with:
- iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- Resume Aura version (shown at the bottom of the in-app Settings screen)
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead
- A screenshot or screen recording if you have one
Feature ideas are welcome at the same address. We read everything, even when we can't build every request.
system requirements
Resume Aura runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or newer. An internet connection is required for scans, rewrites, chat edits, and exports; reading previously saved resumes and version history works offline.
